Topic: FEAR 2

Memory Verse: 2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Bible reading: Acts 6:5And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost.

Fear is a spirit that obsesses people’s minds whenever they see or experienced situations that frightened them. Fear has destroyed many destinies, rendered many irrelevant in life and cause much havoc, even subject many to suicide and poverty contrary to God’s will for them. Yesterday we pointed out that Jesus appeared to Paul an unbeliever, and he never said to him be not afraid, because Paul had built his confidence in the Jewish law that says he is doing the right thing. Why do you think the Boko Haram sect are killing without fear, they have confidence in the god they are working for (satan) and he is the author of fear.

The Angel of God appeared to Philip the Evangelist and Apostle Peter and they never entertain fear because they are born again, full of faith and of the Holy Spirit. Even in the face of death, Stephen was never afraid, Acts 6:5-6. Fear is a spirit that attacks your faith as a child of God, the spirit succeeded in its operation when you are living in secret sin or under a curse. According to the bible, anyone living in sin is under a curse. However, someone may not be living in sin, yet be full of fear if the fellow is under a satanic or witchcraft spell, and it could also be heredity in a linage (it is still a curse on that family) we are to inherit good things and not fear.

We will discuss how to overcome fear tomorrow. However, you must be born again to start with. If you are not born again, give your life to Jesus now because tomorrow may be too late. SHALOM

• I am born again I refuse fear in Jesus name
• I am no longer a slave to fear I am a child of God
• I have the spirit of faith in Jesus name
