Topic: FEAR

Memory Verse: 2 Timothy 1:6-7 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. 7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Bible reading: Genesis 3:8-9 

Fear simply means the absence of confidence and presence of unease as a result of an occurrence. Every spirit that comes from God does not bring fear neither do they the nature of fear, it is those who see them, that entertains fear. Don’t let this throw you off I will explain, just relax. Man is made up of three personalities, the spirit, the soul and the body. 

When you see a spirit with your spirit, there is no fear, when you see a spirit with your soul and body fear may come set in, and you will notice that Adam said he was afraid when he heard God in the garden after he had sinned, this is because he is no longer seeing or hearing God with the spirit man, but with his soul and body, because sin kills the spirit man and the other two personalities (soul and body) does not belong to the spirit realm, they are afraid whenever they see or hear a spirit or experience terrible or disturbing situations. 

God said He has not given us the spirit of fear, meaning fear is not in the nature of our spirit. Then where is fear located? Fear is in the thinking faculty and the imaginary section of our soul, the soul is made up of the mind, the brain, the intellect and others. You will recollect that the Angel that appeared to Mary said, be not afraid because she was not yet saved. When you are not born again or you are born again and refused to grow spiritually you will live in the mental realm and fear can always set in at will also the Angel of God appeared to Cornelius and said to him be not afraid because he was not yet saved. 

Jesus appeared to Paul an unbeliever he never said to him be not afraid, the Angel of God appeared to Philip the Evangelist and Apostle Peter he never said be not afraid, Jesus appeared to Kenneth Hagin face to face He never said be not afraid, Jesus appeared to me in my dream He never said to me be not Afraid. So where is fear coming from? 

We shall go more into details tomorrow discussing further how to overcome fear. SHALOM
